Evening Primrose Oil ?

Question

I’ve been reading a lot on these pills and how they help the cervix when you go into labor. I was curious if anyone has used them and what they’re experience was like? How did you use them? Did it help jump start your labor or just help the process? Planning to talk to my dr about them my next visit. But curious on personal experiences. 😇 I’m 33 weeks now and wanting to start them when safe.

My best friend took them and swears by it. She was induced a week early and from checking into the hospital to giving birth, it was a total of 6 hours. The primrose oil softens the cervix. She started taking it at I believe 32 or 34 weeks.

My Dr's always had me start orally taking the pills 3x a day starting at 38 weeks. 1-2x a day vaginally but in just barely, enough so as it dissolved it coated the skin to help prevent tearing. It didn't start labor for any of mine but did help the cervix to soften to be more able to dilate and start labor.
