14DPO and afraid to test

So this month I feel like we took a lot of steps in the right direction and I’m hoping and praying that it paid off. We tracked everything and tried preseed, we BDed the first couple days of my fertile window but didn’t have the change to on the higher chance days :(. I took a pregnancy test at 10DPO and couldn’t see anything (try as I might). Today should be the first day of my period..so far nothing and no symptoms other than sore nipples. My question for you ladies is: have any of you tested around 10DPO and gotten a negative test but still gotten a positive when af was due?
