Best cameras for makeup?

My friend took this photo WITH HIS PHONE so now I’m over here looking at my iPhone like 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒
What do you guys use? Do you use a DSLR and upload to Instagram/other platforms? Do you use a clip-on light? Do you edit first? Or am I just missing out on life by being dedicated to team Apple 😒
It’s festival / rave season so I hope I can draw in customers this way because I am overrrrr nude colored proms and weddings right now

I take all my photos with the iPhone 7 and just edit them using the iPhone edit tab
