Scared and don’t know what to expect.

So I just got a Skyla IUD a few days ago (may 24th) and unfortunately the doctor did not give me as much information as I had hoped for. So I did some research. I’ve seen a lot of women saying how it ruined their life, and that the weren’t themselves throughout having their IUD, and I’ve seen a lot of women talking about how it’s amazing, and it’s the best decision they’ve ever made. I questioned my doctor about side effects like acne, weight gain, and mood swings, and all she said was “no” when I asked if these things could actually happen. But I’ve seen so many women complain about having those side effects. I honestly wish I knew more about it before going through with it. Please share any experiences and knowledge you have about IUDs and if they worked for you or if it was a completely wrong decision. Also, my mom has been in the medical field for 30 years and says that I did a good thing by getting it, and I also think that because my doctor knew my mom was a medical professional she didn’t seem to worried about giving me so much information so I won’t blame the doctor for being short with me.
