Are late night talk show hosts a bad influence?

So its pretty well known that Jimmy Kimmel and some other late night show hosts take a lot of jabs at Trump.

I don’t have cable so I’ve never checked it out a lot until today when I decided to check out some YouTube clips while I was sick in bed.

Now to be clear, let’s just say I’m NOT running around with MAGA hats or anything if you get what I mean...but I still felt really uncomfortable by a lot of the things said.

I really felt like it was teaching people (especially younger people) that it’s completely okay to bash and hate someone if you disagree with them, and that the best way to handle conflict is to be rude and rally others to be rude.

Am I just being too innocent? Don’t get me wrong, some things I heard said were funny, but it just made me feel uncomfortable.

EDIT: I would like to add that I never said I support Trump. I’m also not offended by it either, I just don’t know if it contributes to society. And as for all the people saying “well Trump is still worse.” I don’t know if that matters because hate is still hate and I think it just keeps the vicious cycle going. Also by “young people” I do not mean children, I mean like teenagers and 20 something. Maybe I’m wrong on the cycle thing, but I just want to clear a few things up.
