Best Breast Pump for more milk?

Our little miracle was born on 5/21 via emergency c-section. I have been trying to breast feed and have nearly given up! However, I called for help and had a Lactation consultation come to the house ... pricey but worth it!! We now are able to feed with the nipple guard, but I’m still not producing enough milk. 
Our consultant suggest we rent the Medela Symphony pump - can anyone tell me if it’s worth switching? Currently I am using the Medela Instyle and I feel like my supply is increasing but would do anything to make more. I also saw the spectra got great reviews! Please help a desperate Mama!

I love my spectra but if you can rent the medela symphony, I would.  It is the best hospital grade pump out there

I’m sure the nurse told you this but drinking ridiculous amounts of water helped me to boost my supply

Honestly you don’t need a different pump. Just grab lactation cookies and teas. Eat fenugreek and blessed thistle. Increase your pumping schedule to every two hours or do power pumping.

I was prescribed this breast pump, It’s a Medela and I really like it. I can get like 5 oz out of one breast each time that I pump.

I've used both. I used the Symphony when my baby was in the NICU due to being a preemie, and use the Spectra S2 now at home. I personally prefer the Spectra. I get the same amount of milk, and I feel like it's a gentler pump with more customization. I also like the night light and the pumping timer. I could get 12 ounces in 20 min with it when I was exclusively pumping. i breastfeed too now, but I still get 6 ounces minimum.

Call your insurance and see what you can get for free. Mine offered me 3 different choices. 
Also a pump did not help me boost my supply. I had an emergency c section at 37+3 with my first. It took a while before I saw much milk with a pump. What helped boost my supply was just breastfeeding often as he wanted it. Within a few weeks I was at the point my breasts would get full. Mind you my milk took days to come in and he was week or more before I felt I was even giving him enough. I bf for a year and with my 2nd my milk came in before my 2nd was born.
What I believe really helped me the 1st time was lots of skin to skin and round the clock nursing.

What makes you think you’re not producing enough? Is baby still acting hungry after both breasts are empty? Are you getting enough wet diapers from baby? You may be making enough, it just doesn’t look like much at all when you pump. You may not respond well to the pump and respond fine to baby nursing at the breast.

I got the Spectra 2 through insurance, and I had that before the baby came. But after I had the baby and we were in the hospital, my milk didn’t come in; so the lactation consultant at the hospital told us to rent the Medela Symphony. I used the Symphony for two months before I felt comfortable switching to the Spectra because I always heard about how awesome the Symphony was. But once I switched to the Spectra, I wish I used it earlier. The Spectra was a lot more comfortable. I think the Spectra could have increased my supply as well as the Symphony, but who knows. It took me a week to make maybe 0.5-1 oz in one pumping session. I think you’re making a good amount this early on. I wasn’t able to breast feed because of latch issues - nipple shields kind of worked, but I was worried the bad latch was hindering milk production. So main thing for me was pumping every 2-3 hours and power pumping for the first 2-3 weeks.

Symphony is definitely worth it. Rented it for a month to bring my supply in because I had a premie and was exclusively pumping for her.
