what do you do when your boyfriend isn’t interested in having sex?

So my boyfriend and I have been together almost 8 months now and our sex life SUCKS! It was great in the beginning, but we live together now I guess the excitement has just worn off. It used to be everyday now it’s like once a month. We’re happy otherwise, but sex is a huge factor for me so not having sex just kills my self esteem. I’m not sure what to do at this point, I’ve tried talking to him about it and I try looking good for him but it seems like nowadays I almost need to beg him for sex... helpppppp i need a better sex life, what should i do?!
