Has anyone been stationed in Oceana?

I’m not picking orders for another year so I’m not in a hurry but just doing research, so what’s the good and the bad there?

I used to live in Chesapeake, which is about 25 30 minutes from that base. now we're in San Diego. I thought traffic in Virginia was bad but it's really just slow drivers haha. VA is not bad there's a lot to do and the weather is okay. You get an actual winter and an actual summer so that's pretty awesome. they're always trying to expand the highways so there's construction constantly so that doesn't help with traffic or commuting. I probably live in Virginia Beach or Chesapeake, try to avoid Norfolk there's always congestion getting in and out!
