Boyfriend feels Paragard strings?

I just got my IUD a week and a half ago. I can’t feel my strings or let alone find them. I have an appointment to get them checked. Anyway, I have had sex and my boyfriend swears he can feel the Paragard strings poking him. Is this possible?

Yup! I had mine removed because of this. I could actually see the tiny holes it was leaving on his head. I felt horrible. Had them trimmed but didn’t help at all so I just took it out and switched to NuvaRing.

Yes it’s possible. But I was told as long as it’s not hurting you or him then it’s fine. My husband felt mine but it didn’t hurt him it was just weird he said

With all IUDs if you tell your doctor sometimes they can trim the strings some more so sex is more comfortable.

YES! i’ve had mine for maybe 6 months and my boyfriend can feel them sometimes just poking him. if you can’t feel them, your fingers my not be as long as his penis to reach. if it makes him uncomfortable try changing positions!
