My symptoms from Ovulation to BFP

Megan

Hi ladies, I just wanted to post my symptoms from my ovulation day to my bfp in hopes of helping other women who are currently ttc. These symptom threads were super helpful to me on my journey to conceiving and I just thought I’d share mine to hopefully help others too 😊

Ovulation day was May 5th for me, I don’t know this because of the apps, or OPKS, or bbt tracking but because I got incredibly painful ovulation cramps that day on my right side. They were so powerful I felt them all the way through to my back, and they seriously got me down. These were the worst ovulation pains I’ve ever had, and I’m still not sure why. I bd’d two days before ovulation and the day of and 1 & 2 days after. From 1dpo to about 9dpo I noticed odd little fluttering sensations in my uterus, they were off and on, completely random, but definitely noticeable to me especially when I was sitting or lying down. I didn’t know what they were at the time, but looking back I wouldn’t be surprised if it was my body just moving the egg along through my Fallopian tube. During this time frame I also noticed my breasts started to get a bit more full than normal (I’m really small chested so any of those changes, even slight, are noticeable) and my nipples were just ever so slightly darker and more sensitive. I did notice breast tenderness, but not the actual breast tissue, it was the muscle beneath them that was sore. I was peeing more than normal even though my fluid intake was the same, and I also noticed being more tired than usual. 8dpo and 9dpo I got this strange pinching, almost electrical feeling in my uterus, also on the right side (the side I ovulated from) it lasted for about a day. It definitely hurt, but not in a cramp kind of way. I did not get any implantation bleeding, even though I was watching closely for it. From 9dpo on I got light, almost af like cramps, but they weren’t nearly as bad as when af is about to show. I also dried up cervical mucus wise after I ovulated, and I always get white watery cm just before af. I had none of that this time. In fact, I’m still pretty dry down there, and I’m a week past when af was due. I started testing early at 10dpo, which I know is a no no, but I couldn’t help it. It was a bfn.

I got my first vvv faint line bfp at 12 dpo which I took with a late night urine hold (over 6hours, with little fluid intake during that time). The test the next morning with fmu was even fainter and frankly scared me because I thought I might have caught a chemical. But the tests I kept taking from there (girls, I was crazy, I was taking 2 a day) slowly but surely got darker. I have a bit longer of a cycle (31 days) and ovulate a little sooner than I “should” with that length cycle so I have a longer luteal phase. I wasn’t supposed to miss af until 17 dpo. From the time I got my first faint bfp to my missed period, I had mild cramping. Which didn’t help in me thinking it was a chemical and I’d still get my period anyway. But, I’m officially a week late with 2 blazing lines on my tests, and I hope my symptoms posts helps other women ttc. This cycle was markedly different from every other cycle I had been ttc, right from the start. My intuition told me I was going to get pregnant this cycle, from the very first ovulation cramps I felt. Of course I kept that intuition to myself because I didn’t want to jinx it. But I think what really have it away before the bfps were the “flutters” and the electric, pinching that just had to be implantation.

Anyway I know this is super long and I hope this post is allowed, if not please delete. Thank you for reading. Feel free to ask me any questions and GOOD LUCK TTC LADIES!!! I’m sending you all lots of sticky baby dust ✨💖✨
