Doctor said what?

Katherine • Hey guys! I'm Katherine. My boyfriend & I are trying to conceive, we are both 22 years old. We can't wait to be able to shower our little angel with love, support & attention. Good luck to all of you on the same journey as me!

So I’ve missed four of my cycles, taken home test + pee tests at the clinic and they are all negative. I have Medical and my doctor recommended me with an OBGYN after I mentioned what I was going through in regard to my period. So I saw the first OBGYN and she told me to keep trying because the pee test was negative, to keep track of my body temp, drink prenatal vitamins and FOCUS ON MYSELF BECAUSE MAYBE I WASN’T EVEN READY TO BE A MOM. But who is ever? No one, at least not mentally or emotionally, just financially prepared. Plus what she know about my life? Lol

Anyway, second visit with a different OBGYN and he says my period is late because I’m stressed, stress isn’t a new thing in my life. I always under pressure for either family, school or work concerns. Then he said Medical doesn’t cover infertility exams to found out what is going on with my body. His exact words were, “the government doesn’t worry or focus on women reproducing more children, you’re young live your life” I am 23 years old, I am living my life with or without a little one. I felt discriminated for my age in both occasions, they looked at me as if I was a little girl. Is this why they don’t even bother to do blood tests or any sort of test on me? I mean is one thing that I haven’t gotten pregnant yet after a year of trying, but another one to miss my period for four cycles now (and I was always a regular).
