Will places hire you if you tell them you don’t want to work the register ?

I’m thinking about applying at Wendy’s and I hate being behind a cash register cause it gives me so much anxiety lol do you
Think they won’t hire me if I ask to not be on the cash register ?

They probably won't hire you. I suggest looking for a job elsewhere or facing your fears. Also see a therapist for your anxiety.

Im a manager at Wendys actually. There are different companies because half of Wendys is franchised. Ive worked for over 6 of the companies. When youre hired you are hired as a crew member so you are not assigned to any specific stations. You do have the right to say youre uncomfortable handling the money. There are planty of people Ive hired that dont go on registers.  Just inquire with it during your interview.

I had pretty severe anxiety when I started working fast food, but honestly being at a register and constantly deal with the stress of meal rushes and whatnot has helped me to better cope with my anxiety. I think you should give it a try

When applying for a job the last thing you want to do is say there’s part of said job you will not do. It may make you anxious but you need to learn how to do it at some point, you can’t live your life never working with money
