Learning to sleep without mommy or daddy

So today is day one of teaching little milani to sleep and soothe herself back to sleep without mommy or daddy.she is 3 months and has been sleeping on our chest since week 2 😩 I’m asthmatic and I can no longer breathe due to all of her weight on my chest.please share your experiences on how you got your little one to sleep on there own.this is gonna be a long night 😩😭😭
