Bleeding in first trimester??

I'm 5w pregnant, got my bfp on Friday at about 12dpo and my period was due yesterday which is when the bleeding started. Went to the ER and they confirmed that I am still pregnant, though my hcg levels are low (I had pretty low levels with dd as well) so it may actually be less than 5w. Getting checked by my OB tomorrow to make sure hcg levels are doubling, but in the mean time I am losing my mind....has anyone else experienced this?

I had bleeding at around 5 weeks 2 days. I had a gush of red blood that soaked through my pants. 
​I went to the ER and they told me that I had a subchorionic hematoma and that's likely what caused the bleeding. Since then I've had mild brown spotting intermittently. They also couldn't see a fetal pole on the ER ultrasound. I had my first OB appointment today at 7 weeks 3 days and everything is perfect. We saw the baby and we heard the heartbeat. 
​I was losing my mind during the 2 weeks between the ER and my appointment.

Hi Bethany. Don't freak out. I was 6 weeks pregnant and after a long trip I was bleeding. Twice in that day, it wasn't that much and it wasn't shiny red more with mocous. My doctor told me it was maybe stress for the trip and told me to keep relax and prescribed some progesterone pills for 7 days. My baby had a heartbeat by then, I am 9 weeks now and no more bleeding.
