If I had a son with long hair, yes. I only have girls though, so no need. A hair accessory is to keep hair under control, not to indicate gender.

I’m saying “yes” without that qualifier of it being cars or trains or whatever. I’ll put a damn bow on his head if I or he want to. Clothing and accessories have nothing to do with gender.

Of course, if you keep your son's hair long then it only makes sense to keep it groomed and fixed too. I would probably just braid my son's hair or pull it back in a pony tail with regular hair bands.
