Above ground pool?

Question

Does anyone have an above ground pool? I’d like to get my 1 year old comfortable in the water without having to go to the community center everyday. Any negatives? Should I get a solar cover to help warm? Anything else? Thanks!

Get a small kiddie pool first considering his age. Next year when he’s another year older get one of those blue blow up pools. Ease him into it and you should be fine. Swimming lessons are expensive but they are great for young children.

I have a 10' above ground easy set pool. It's great. it holds about 1000gallons and is great for the littles (5&2) to learn to float and hold their breath. They can both reach the bottom to stand up if need be. I don't have a solar cover to keep it warm I have a cover to keep it cooler. In the middle of July the pool gets above 85° and isn't as nice when it's so warm.

All my littles love pouring water...big kiddie pool in the back and cups and buckets to pour. We take them to the spray park too and the beach. 
I have two fishes that taught themselves to swim this past year.
