I had my 16w appointment with the community midwife today and it was so reassuring. I'm actually 17w 2d and we found out at our dating scan on 11th May we were a week further along than we thought. She checked my BP, copied my screening results into my book from the notes I received in the post yesterday then she asked me to lay down. She reassured me it could take a while to find a heartbeat but not to worry but almost the instant she put the doppler down she found the heartbeat and we could hear it chugging away and we could hear, and I could just about feel it giving me a good kick. It was amazing to hear and I'm now impatient for 25th June to see it again and find out if we have a boy or girl.
