Do needle piercings hurt more than gun pericings?

I got my first holes on my earlobes done with a gun, but I’m wanting to be smarter this time and get my second holes done professionally with a needle.

They are much less painful, the piercing is done properly with a needle and it will heal so much faster. Guns are a HUGE no no for proper piercing. Always go to a shop with licensed piercers who use proper equipment. Stores like Claire's who use guns are not proper licensed piercers. The reason you get those little hard knots in your ear lobe piercings done with a gun is from scar tissue from the blunt trauma of the jewelry that pierces the skin.

As long as who ever is doing it is fast with the needle then there should be no real pain and the guns are dangerous they do alot ot damage especially to cartilage  
Find a very experienced piercer and make sure there licensed and didnt learn off you tube

no , guns hurt more I think just the shock of the gun is what hurts the worse . I've had my nose pierced 2 times and 13 piercings on my ears and the gun hurts worse.  the needle is quick if it's done right .  and my nose is pretty thick  honestly your so nervous your mind hardly focus on the pain and after you'll say " it wasn't even that bad"
