Does spotting count as day 1 of cycle?

I had 2 days of brown spotting and then proper period blood on the 3rd day. Which day was day 1 of my cycle?  Which day should I put into glow as the start of my period?

First day of FULL flow bleeding counts as day 1!!! Spotting doesn't count!

My dr said day one was the first day of actual bleeding, not spotting or pantie liner type.
