My daughter went for her first dental appointment at her 12month mark and we will continue to take her every 6 months just like I go.

Our dentist said he doesn't have them have their own appoinment until after 2 but we should bring her with us to get her used to the office. She already hates it and he hasn't even tried to look in her mouth yet. She won't even let me brush them.

My Lo has 6 teeth all in the front... will prob try to schedule an appt when's he's about 18 months... hopefully more teeth will be coming in by then. Just outta curiosity, what does the dentist do for the LO this early on for those that have seen a dentist already?

She went with me at my last check up, she was 10 months

Not until 2 years because I dentist said that’s the earliest he’ll take a kid unless there is some real concern.  Our son has some plaque build up that when I go at the end of the month our dentist said he’d just look at while I’m there

Everything I’ve ever heard says to take them in by their first birthday.  Why wait until two??  My girls have their second appts next month.  ( 6 months since)

My hubs as a dentist so he encouraged us to take him in recently (14 mos) as he has 7 teeth and 4 molars emerging. It was pretty quick though, just asking us questions about his oral hygiene and getting him comfortable. It's also nice to have them established as a patient somewhere because most peds dentists have an emergency line and I'd like to have that for next time my son faceplants... Which happens often.

she doesnt have many teeth yet, only 4 and 2 of them arent even the whole way through yet. my aunt is a dental higenist and she told me to wait until she has some more teeth.
