Touchy subject on US mat leave. Read the description.

So this is obviously a touchy subject, which was brought up by a professor at my school. Do you think the short mat leave options (or no mat leave options) have a correlation with children in the US growing up to be violent? Meaning the less time children are spending with their parents as babies are having an effect on this. There has been an obvious increase in school shootings in the US in recent years.

I am Canadian and was initially annoyed that my professor tried to make this connection, but the more I thought about it the more I thought it could be true...

Bringing this up based on the number of mat leave polls I’ve been seeing in the July ‘18 babies board.
