How often should I get an ultrasound ?

Does anyone know how often a high risk pregnancy should be getting ultrasounds? So far I’ve been having them every 4 weeks but im only 14 weeks pregnant so I’m not sure 🤔 does it continue that way or do they get longer with time? I would ask my doctor but it’s kinda late and I’m a little curious now🤔 how many ultrasounds does a non high risk pregnancy get ?

It really depends on why you're high risk. For example if you have a placenta or cervix issue, it's different than if you have another issue like gestational diabetes or high blood pressure. Being labeled high risk doesn't necessarily mean you'll get more ultrasounds, it really varies based on the condition (I have 4 kids and all were high risk for various reasons and they were all different in terms of ultrasound testing)

I am high risk and currently 22 weeks. I have had 5 ultrasounds in total. The last one was at 18 weeks for my anatomy scan, my next one will be at 26 weeks for a growth scan. With my first two pregnancies I was low risk and had three with each of them.

My insurance only paid for 3 plus and emergency ones. That's usually the same for most insurances. But you can pay for more if you want.

I’ve had 4 currently and I’m 24 weeks, depends on what your high risk for really, I had a baby with a diaphragm hernia first time around so now my doctors have seen this little one is growing normal my next scans are just like everyone else. But I know someone else who’s high risk and gets scans every 2 weeks and has done since 28 weeks.
