Can I change my induction date because of the doctor on call?

So no baby yet... 😪 
But anyhow, they want to induce me at 41 weeks. I really hate the idea of induction, but I’m doing what they recommend.
So they said they’d call me between 9:00pm-12:00am Friday night, but the doctor on call creeps me out (very handsy when it’s not necessary). However the doc in on Saturday morning is my absolute favorite in the practice! 
Do you think I should reschedule? Can I request a certain date maybe a few days earlier? FTM and absolutely terrified of induction 😢

first off walk! I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago and walked for a mile and a half and my water broke that night at 41+1 weeks. Second chances are the crept dr won't be delivering your child the average labor is 8 hrs, inductions usually take longer. My labor took 10 hrs and had fully ruptured. I went through 1 on call Dr and my son was delivered by the  next on call dr.

You should call and ask. It depends on the hospital/obgyn practice. My clinic will only schedule an induction when your doctor schedules it, and your doctor must deliver. For that reason, they dont really schedule inductions over the weekend unless your doctor is on call that weekend. The only way an on call doctor delivers is if you go into labor on your own and it’s the weekend or over night. And that’s what’s happened to me with both of my pregnancies

Do they need to do the cervix ripening part?  If yes, I would keep the overnight appointment.  Then hopefully you deliver the next day.  Would dr creepy hands be back on call the day after you favorite dr is on call?  You might need to plan for that.
It seems like most people need the overnight to ripen (8+ hours).  It also seems like that part is less hands on than the active labor part.  
I don’t know if this is typical, but most of my care as I labored was from the nurses anyway. The doctor popped in to break my water and to do the delivery.  I have my babies pretty fast, so that may be a factor in my dr Face time too.

Doctors can not force you to have an induction they can only give you their medical opinion and recommendations and you can do with it how you please. Depending on your labor and delivery induction scheduling and you’re medical history, they may or may not allow you to change the date of the induction.
I’m 41w today and my dr wanted me to be induced on Thursday May 31 I asked if I could hold off on the induction until Monday and they said their induction schedule was full on Monday so we agreed to have the induction tomorrow evening.
