Back on his bullshit. (Rant)

So, awhile ago I posted a little thing about an issue with my boyfriend titled ‘it feels like he’s trying to buy me’. As a recap we’ve been together for seven months, and he’s from a pretty well off family. He’s by no means a millionaire, but he does have A LOT of money. My issue was that he kept trying to solve issues by giving me “apology money/gifts” instead of actual communication.

Anyway, I took everyone’s advice, but he still wouldn’t stop spending and truly communicate. I’d decided about two weeks ago that we needed a small break. I truly mean just a small break, not a breakup. On multiple occasions I’ve explained that just giving me money makes me uncomfortable and he cant keep using it as leeway. It makes me feel bought, not loved. Now that we’ve been on a break, he still hasn’t learned!! He says he’s afraid the break is permanent, so he sends flowers and gifts to my work, or to my campus. He puts money in fucking envelopes or makes deposits to my bank account. He’s still trying to pay my rent, etc.

Again, I know it’s like lmao what’s the issue?? BUT THE MAN CANT COMMUNICATE HIS FREAKING FEELINGS TO SAVE HIS LIFE!! Sad because he works too much?? Here’s money. Frustrated with school?? Here’s money. Fight with my mother?? Here’s money. I DONT CARE ABOUT THE MONEY IF I HAVE SUCH A LIMITED CONNECTION WITH THE PERSON IM SUPPOSED TO LOVE HOLY!! I know everyone was saying that it sounds like he doesn’t know how else to fix issues, and he’s using what he knows best, but he’s a grown man and I’ve voiced how I feel, why won’t he listen??
