When to start buying formula?

I’m stocked up on diapers, clothes and everything else needed. The only thing left is formula. I’m 33 weeks and plan on bringing my own formula to hospital bc I do not want to use the liquid formula that they offer. When can I start buying generic branded sensitive formula?

I also plan on formula feeding, using parents choice sensitive, as that is what worked best for my 1st daughter, however I haven’t “stocked up” on any yet just in case little miss #2 arrives and needs something special or different. I don’t want to waste a bunch of $$ on formula that i may or may not be able to use so we have just been setting some $ back every time we would’ve bought some formula and will use that to buy whatever works best for her when she gets here! :)

Yeah I wouldn’t stock up either! We started using what the hospital provided which was similac advance non gmo and within a few days of being home swapped to similac soy bc he seemed really fussy and his tummy seemed to be uncomfortable. This worked for about a month and then we swapped again to similac alimentum which is soy and dairy free and our little guy was so much happier on it. He stayed sounand dairy free until about 7mos and then we tried yogurt and he digested it fine so we swapped him back to similac advance at that point. Sign up at similac and enfamil online, they’ll both send you a decent amount of free samples and coupons (similac i just got 3 different free cans)! Also not sure if it’s like this everywhere but every time we went to our pediatrician they would give us 5-6 small cans of the formula we were using for free bc they’d get it from their vendors to promote their product!

I’d just be careful stocking up on formula in case the brand you buy doesn’t agree with your little ones tummy. I’d just buy one can to start.
