Any one had an HSG?!

Question

Saw our doctor again this morning, we are getting referred to fertility specialist, hubbys got yet another spent analysis and she’s requested an HSG for me. Has anyone had one and would like to share their experience? My Dr advised I take the day off as it can cause cramping after. 
Starting to think I need to get used to people looking at my vagina 😊

I’ve had one. I have a very high tolerance for pain, but this was quite painful to me. With that being said, the pain only lasts for 30 seconds (while they’re inserting the dye) and then it immediately stops. I cramped for a few hours, but it was nothing a bit of Tylenol and resting couldn’t handle. I took the day off just because I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I feel as though I probably could have gone to work, as long as I took it easy. 
I just kept telling myself “this is for your future babies, this is for your future babies” until it was all over. It may suck in the moment, but it’s worth it. Best of luck to you 💜
