Does your Gynocologist insert several fingers in your rectum for a duration of a few minutes at your physical?

My friends say this doesn’t happen to them and it always feel like it shouldn’t be happening. My last appointment was a few days ago and it feels as if I had just had anal, that’s how intense it is.

That is not your gynecologists job. Rectal exams are not included in a yearly checkup. I suggest you report that to someone at the practice.

My gynecologist has never put fingers in my ass.  The only thing they ever do back there is a small swab when they check for group b strep.

It happened at one of my first gynecologist appointments when I was 16. I cried afterwards. There was no warning just sudden fingers up the butt. I asked her what she was doing and she said checking for cysts, to which I replied you should really warn people before putting your hands inside them. 
I never went back to her. I’ve had overall better experience with male gynecologists. My theory is that they are less aware of what is uncomfortable vs comfortable so they try to be super gentle the entire time. 
I’ve seen 3 female gynecologists and negative experiences with 2 out of 3.
And 2 male gynecologists. All positive experiences.

Some gynecologists can/do perform a rectal exam, but it’s not common practice these days. That said, I’ve never heard of them inserting more than 1-2 fingers.

I’m an NP, some practitioners still do a rectal exam, sometimes its helpful to palpate your female parts. I never used more than 2 fingers 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am 30 and have seen several doctors in several states, never once have they put fingers up my butt during a pap and if they tried I’d probably drop kick them..

Only after I had my children did my dr insert 1 finger in my ass. The only reason was to make sure my stitches had healed properly from child birth. Anything more than 2 fingers is excessive! The dr doesn’t even do that when they do a vaginal exam! I honestly see no reason for a gynecologist fingers to be in your ass if it’s just a regular annual and I would be concerned.

I had switched to the female doctor in the practice but then when I wanted to talk fertility she was very judgemental of my age / ability to be a mother. I am 24 years old. So then I switched back to my original doctor who is the one who does this. Having to leave their office all together would frustrate me because my cycle is very irregular and hard to track but they know it well by now.
