When Are You Starting Maternity Leave?

Question

I’m a contract attorney, so I don’t get any PTO or paid maternity leave. I’m due July 31st.  I really should be working up until a date fairly close to my due date just because I need to money and if I don’t work...I don’t get paid and I’ve had no instruction from my Doc that I need to tap out early from work.  However, I’m so mentally checked out, it’s not funny.  Just curious when others in a similar situation are taking off.

I have a really physical job as a CNA in a long term care facility. I’m always moving, on my feet, running around to finish my work. My coworkers are all used to me being the hard worker and none of them will pick up the slack if I start to slow down, so I’m still running around like crazy and it’s KILLING my mind and my body.
Next Monday is my last day. I’ll be 37 weeks. I’m done.

I'm working till he comes basically. I'm ready to just sleep all day and night but I'd rather take the 12 weeks with him then because I'm just done. It's so hard to work it out though for sure.

I don’t get any maternity leave either.. I’m due July 8th I’m working until the end of June than plan on staying out of work for 6 weeks then back I go lol

How awful is that your maternity leave is unpaid. Something is wrong with this system.  Whoever thought unpaid time made sense was never a mother. 
If you need the money keep working. I would also consider talking to your doctor. They may be willing to write you a note if you just can’t do it anymore.

I’m due July 19th I’m 34w1d and I am pretty much done with work. I work at the hospital so it’s beginning to be a lot on my body. July 1st will be the start of my maternity leave.

I was planning on having the Friday before my due date be my last day but I might take the week before that off too. I'm being monitored twice a week for polyhydramnios and already taking so much time off. so if I do a week and a half before my due date, my last day will be July 13th!
