Ovulation day app question

Is this app ever off for anyone else? Since I started my period it said I would ovulate today but when I take the ovulation tests they say it’s negative. Then it keeps pushing the ovulation day back. Do you ladies think I already missed the ovulation since it’s been 20 days since I started my last period? Thank you for the help! Things are starting to get frustrating!!
