When should you stop traveling ?

I was thinking about taking a babymoon with my husband the second to last week in June . I was thinking about going to the beach and visiting his siblings and they live about 3 hours from us . At this time I’ll be just hitting 35 weeks . When’s s good time to stop traveling and is 35 weeks cutting it too close ?

I’m leaving for my babymoon this Sunday!! We will be gone 5 days. 8 hour drive to the beach and I’ll be 34 weeks! My doctors aren’t worried at all and I’m high risk for preterm labor. They all told me to enjoy it!☺️

In my opinion, I think so but I would ask your doctor on what he/she thinks. For me mentally, I don’t think I’d enjoy myself being further away in case baby comes early but if doctor gives you the okay and you feel comfortable, then do it!

I’m going on mine this weekend at almost 37 weeks, 4.5 he’s away. 🤷‍♀️ Maybe ask your doctor, but we’re still doing it. There’s a birthing hospital at our destination as well as to a of hospitals in another big city halfway there, so it may not be the birth we planned if baby comes early, but there’s a hospital!

I just asked my dr this recently. He said it’s so hard to give a specific time because baby can really come anytime. For example He had a patient who was 29 weeks water break and delivered where she was in another city.. .. but he said generally around 34 is when he recommends to not go too far.

I was debating going back home one last time before Baby H is here (6ish hrs away) over Father's Day weekend while I'm 35 weeks. But decided against it. I'd hate to be on the road, potentially in the middle of nowhere (which is over half our driving route), and go into labor.
