Over feeding ?

They say you can’t over feed but what if your baby spits up when they eat too much. Terrifies me when she sleeps and shes on her back that she may choke

A lot of babies have reflux...which isn’t terribly helpful when you are worried about sleep spit ups...but spitting up is very normal and isn’t so much a sign of overeating as it is a sign of your baby swallowing air (and then burping up air and liquid) - or a medical condition.
Some more things you can try are frequent burping during feedings (every 5/10 mins) and you can elevate the mattress by putting a rolled towel under the mattress.
My friend’s kids needed to be on Meds for their reflux - but they weren’t gaining weight and were projectile vomiting - in their case it was a medical condition.

My doctor said babies are smarter than drunk people, they have a reflex to move their head to the side when the spit up 😂 I wouldn’t worry too much about choking

When my milk first came in full force my let down was so fast and my baby threw up everything he ate about 4 times in two days! I was so worried because he would just fall asleep afterwards and I knew he had to be hungry! His doctor just told me to pump my boob like an once and then give him the boob so it wouldn’t be coming out fast! & just save the milk for when you want to introduce a bottle

Are you bottle feeding or breast? If its breast, you cannot over feed them. If your bottle feeding, try a slower nipple and don't force them to finish. This was a topic yesterday at a breast feeding group I go to. Some women have to supplement with formula or their own milk in a bottle so we discussed how not to over feed them. I hope this was helpful

They said just keep your baby up right for a good 10-15 minutes after feeding & burp her!
