Baby floor seat- yes or no?

Question

Did you get one of these floor seats for your little ones? What do you think of them? Are they safe and comfortable for baby's back? Which one would you reccomend?

I have one, but I have read it can hinder development if you prop them up before they are able to sit on their own. I try to just stick with tummy time or have him play on his side (helps with core strength/midline, apparently).

My best friend is a physical therapist and she HATES these things. She said she cringes when parents use them. They even actually delay independent sitting and in a lot of cases even can cause spine and neck curvature issues. She said the best way to help baby sit up is to sit them on a soft surface and hold them up and let them practice balance and holding themselves in a sitting position. She said that in parents that do this and tummy time/ over walkers, support seats, and jumpers see their babies sit up better and are less wobbly at 6 Months than parents that use these devices

We bought this. Our sons starting to sit so we got it. It has 3 reclining positions. We actually found it at babies r us for 30$. It is a space saver and we were already going to buy it. It fits him good too. I have heard those chairs made to sit babies up aren't good to use before they're ready.

No for me, I have chunky babies and they have chunky thighs lol so they wouldn’t even fit in them, for my first son I got a similar one but you could take the top of once they don’t fit anymore and for my second son I recently bought him the frog seat and I love it :)

We have the Bumbo seat and the Fisher Price Sit Me Up. My daughter really enjoys the Sit Me Up more than the Bumbo seat. You can attach toys and things to the sit me up to keep them entertained and I feel like she’s more comfortable in it. She gets bored with the Bumbo seat very quickly.

We have the Infantino Propapillar for tummy time and sitting up.  It's less restrictive than the Bumbo, and lets him recline more. He likes being propped up so he can look around!

Did some research and shows that it’s not good for their posture. I did try it out on my daughter and she hated every minute. I ended up selling it before my second was born. Some people love it but not me.

My little guy loves his! He just squeals and giggles the whole time he’s in it! 🤗
