Since I’ve had my baby 3 years ago I’ve been on the shot and the patch. They both made me have horrible mood swings and constantly emotional so I stop taking both of them between now and 3 years ago. I’m wanting to try to get back on one and I’m thinking about the pill. Has anyone had it and gotten pregnant on it? I know that everyone is different but what are some of your stories on the pill? Thanks!

I was on a combination pill religiously for 5 years, was a perfect pill taker (which gives it 99.7% effectiveness), and I never got pregnant. I also never experienced any negative side effects from the brand of pills I was on (Low Ogestrel, aka Cryselle). But, everyone’s body reacts differently to each brand/method.

The pill is 98% effective if taken correctly - meaning, not taken with alcohol, not taken with certain other medications that can affect it, taken everyday at the same time etc. 
If you don’t take the pill correctly you can easily end up pregnant. There’s tons of different brands out there, I’ve been on several and they all worked differently for me..
