I’m starting NuvaRing today, but not while on my period. My gynecologist said that it’s okay to leave it in for three weeks, and then stick a new one in right away instead of leaving it out for a week if I really wanted to. I know she’s a good gynecologist and I’m thinking about doing as she said I could bc the week it’s supposed to be out of the only week I’ll see my boyfriend this summer. However on the NuvaRing website, it says to take it out for a week and mentions nothing about being able to skip the week. Anyone else skip their week of keeping NuvaRing out? Is it safe?

Edit: oh wait I really have to start NuvaRing while on my period??
