Moving out

Hello!!! I don’t know if someone can help me. Me and my boyfriend have been together do 4years now and we are at the point of wanting to move in together. He lives 1hour and half away from me so not that bad but still in another county. We have both agreed that he’s moving to Derbyshire. So how would we go about this?? The thing I’m not sure is about his job because Obviously he’d have to get one here but could we still get a house together if he hasn’t got a job yet or if he’s being accepted for a job but just hasn’t started yet??
