Which birth control? (Please read description)

Question

I’ve been sexually active now for about 6 months, and decided to go on the (mini) pill as part of contraception. 
HOWEVER, as I’m epileptic I had to be taken off the pill as it didn’t agree with my epilepsy medication. Now I’m left without protection and options that I’m not sure about. 
My natural periods are (usually) super light and last about five days; I’m scared about having any sort of incision really as I’m only 16.
My mum is super supportive of whatever decision I make but she is not keen on me having the IUD or IUS despite the fact that I’ve been told the contraceptive implant probably isn’t the best option. 
PLEASE HELP!

I think simply condoms is the best solution, there’s no hormones so it’s always better and you won’t catch an STI, you just have to think about it every time you have sex
Also if you’re afraid and think it’s not safe enough, you can always use it with spermicide or a diaphragm 
And I’ve been using only condoms for three years and I’ve never had any problem, as long as you use it properly you’ll be fine

I have the mirena because the mini pill didn’t agree with my body. The levonorgestrel is localized and less likely to affect other parts of my body. I love my mirena. I had two before children and one after. If you haven’t had a child I recommend you take 800mg ibuprofen an hour before insertion and take it for the rest of the day. Before kids it hurts. But no periods. No pregnancy. It was worth it. I bled/spotted for 40 days after every insertion and stopped completely after that.

Okay I’ve been on two of these and my mother has been on two as well so I’m well educated on this with personal experience. 
The implant: I was on it for two and a half years. It was fantastic, I didn’t have periods for at least a year if that and I have really heavy periods and long periods so I was glad to see the back of them. However I’ve just come off the implant because it was interfering with my migraines. 
The IUS: I have the Mirena and I’m not much older than you. I’m not gonna lie it hurt like a bitch. BUT it’s worth it. Localised hormones means it’s less likely to have an impact with functioning elsewhere, so perhaps this is more beneficial than the implant with your condition. 
The IUD: hormone free, my mother loves it. I’ve never had it and I won’t be able to because the copper makes you have longer, heavier, and more painful periods. However if you have short and light periods then it might not be too bad for you, but can you cope with them if they do get a lot worse? Being hormone free it is the best choice if you’re looking for something that doesn’t interfere outside of the uterus.
 But do you like the effects of the hormones? It’s good with PMS and if you have acne it can help clear it up. If I were you I’d go for the IUS because it’s localised but you still get the hormonal benefits without it causing much damage in terms of your condition. At the end of the day it’s your choice, but personally, I would go for the IUS
