Going from exclusively pumping to breastfeeding???

Question

I tried to breast feed for a few days when she was first born but it was extremely painful because my daughter was born four weeks early and her mouth was too small to get a deep latch. Now she’s three weeks and growing well and i want to try again. I’ve been exclusively pumping and would like to try the breast again. I’ve tried twice today and she just screams. I feel like a failure. Have any moms been successful in this situation? Help?

I was with my daughter. Not pumping, but a bottle and trying to nurse. 
They get used to the flow of the milk in the bottle, and then you give her a boob......it's sloooooow lol
Knowing what I know now I would put a movie on (for me) and get the both of us naked and do skin to skin. Let her smell you and find your breast. Make sure the bottles are way deep in the cupboard lol 
It might take a few tries but I did it with my son (I was hand expressing and using a syringe) and he nursed for 17 months. He screamed for quite awhile and I just stayed calm. I tried over and over again throughout the day. Eventually he gave up, found my nipple and nursed. That was that!!

due to my baby being in the nicu for 23 days I was exclusively pumping, by 5 wks old I was allowed to try breastfeeding. it can be a slow transition but u can do it! keep putting her to the breast, hand express enough so that when you put her on she can taste the milk right away! I got her completely off the bottle within a week or so and breastfed for a year, it can work! hang in there mama

Not from EP but from bottle here. I couldn’t get my lo to latch properly when he’s a little younger. I also have supply problem. I’ve been giving him bottle every time he’s crying for milk. At 14 weeks I started to bring him again to breast, there were some struggles but I was so determined to BF.
I did skin to skin, a lot of cuddling, rocking and swaying when he’s fuzzy, waited for his hunger cues and offer my breast before the bottle . He latch when he’s happy and not too hungry. It’s been 3 weeks now and we’re still on breastfeeding journey. I still have supply issue but i managed to bring the bottles down from 7 to 2 per day.

try pumping until you get a let down then put her on. once you've got that going well for a few days,  lessen the amount of pumping a little bit at a time. she's probably just frustrated that it's a little slower, if you ease her into it,  it'll probably go smoother
