I agree with another commenter. Read all the stories about Loki and then decide. While Loki is a great character the actual mythology can be meh for some people. I also think naming your kid after the god of mischief can be jinxing yourself. Idk lmao my moms family is Hindu, we would never name someone after Kali Ma because she destroys everything she sets foot on but that’s just us 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't think it's necessarily bad, but I'd recommend doing a bunch of reading before you chose it. Be familiar with all the stories about the actual god, not just the fun movie character, before you give a kid that name.
You might find you still love it, or you might find you're uncomfortable with some of the associations. Either way, better to be fully informed before the kid is born, instead of years down the line.
If you're into mythology names in general I'd recommend looking at lists online--so many really awesome names!

Yes! My husband named his sons Kato (after the god kraytos) and Loki! I love how unique the names are and they will definitely stick out and set them apart. You won’t remember every Michael or John (I’m not dissing on any names here guys) you meet but a name like Loki will not be quickly forgotten! 💙💙
