Is my doctor wrong or am I?
I got my nexplanon taken out November of 2017. My husband is 22, I am 20. We have had zero luck getting pregnant.
I made a second appointment just to check up on anything we can do because:
-my periods are irregular
-I have a family history of PCOS
-I don’t produce any CF
-my husband has Low T
The whole doctors appointment was a mess. She only wanted to talk about me getting off my anxiety meds cold turkey (I have been weaning off since November) and then kept saying “god has a plan for you. You’ll get pregnant when god’s ready.”
..... what?
I’m religious. Catholic, even. But I went to a doctor for HELP. MEDICAL HELP. Not spiritual advice. Not the place, or the time.
Then she said that due to the nexplanon, I “should not expect to be pregnant before a year. Hands down. And stop trying so hard, you’re too young to be worrying about infertility anyway.”
I know it hasn’t been a year. I get it, I’m jumping the gun.
But now I am so discouraged. I feel like I’ll never get pregnant. Am I wrong for being mad at this appointment?
