Endo and IUDs

Katelyn

I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis. It explains a lot of the issues I’ve had throughout my life, but it’s definitely no fun.

I was taking the depo for several years and had no period or endo symptoms. I didn’t like the weight t made me gain so I switched to the Skyla IUD. Two years after I stopped the depo, my periods have come back. My doctor recommended I try Kyleena, since it’s an IUD with a higher level of progesterone. Has anyone else had any experience with Kyleena? Should I be prepared to bleed a lot after having it put in? What should I expect?
