Play yards as a crib??

Does anyone use they're play yard as a crib? I have a pack and play but my baby is almost outgrowing it.. he's about to be 6 months and won't be able to sleep on the top part anytime now.. Can I still use the play yard as a bed?

We use our pack n play as a crib since we live in tiny cabins. He still easily fits in the top part and doesn’t pull up yet so MB’s. I bought a mattress though because he refused the board that they call a mattress. We’ll use that in the bottom when he needs to transition to the bottom.

I was in the middle of moving and packing everything, so my son slept in his for about a month. I did put a soft blanket down and tucked it under since the mat is like rock hard. But I wouldn’t see a problem with using it.

My daughter is in a pack n play.. still the top part because she shows absolutely no interest in rolling over still. We haven't decided if she'll stay in the pack n play or transition to the crib in her own room. It'll depend on how often she's waking up... I'm not walking across the house every 2 hrs

Louis uses the playpen as a bed. I had to move her to the lower level arpund four and half months. She likes wiggle herself around and throw her feet down (which is adorable as all hell when she does it in her sleep...except when I'm sleeping ha-ha). She sleeps excellent and doesn't sleep very well anywhere else.

She's about 24 weeks in this photo. It's also a morning photo. She doesn't sleep with a blanket or her lovey.
