Help! Ridiculous eczema?

Long but I feel it’s necessary to give the history. Thanks in advance for advice!

Anyone have experience fighting eczema? My almost 4 month-old has annoying eczema that gets WORSE with eczema creams and body washes designed specifically for eczema. A few weeks ago it turned into weeping eczema (looks like 2nd degree burns) in the creases of his arms, backs of knees, neck, behind ears, etc. Anywhere there are skin creases in little baby bodies. We used a prescription steroid and antifungal cream on those areas for two weeks. It got better, but not 100% healed. Still pink patches in all those areas.

Now those areas are getting bad again plus his upper body is developing red patches. I have been putting Cetaphil lotion on him liberally. This is the only lotion that helped in the past, but suddenly his skin is rejecting that. We’ve tried Vaseline, Aveeno eczema therapy, Eucerin eczema therapy, mustela. All made it worse. He doesn’t tolerate aquaphor or coconut oil. We use Dreft detergent, no fabric softener. I breastfeed but he doesn’t seem to have a food allergy (he’s happy and no bloody poop). I keep him in cool pjs constantly so the skin doesn’t touch and trap in heat. And we’re both a prisoner to the air conditioned house so he doesn’t get too hot.

I really don’t know what to do next. I’m happy for any and all suggestions! Especially if you’ve had a similar experience with ruling out lotions or weeping eczema. Thanks so much!
