Alternatives to Public School

I would rather not have my son go to public school when he reaches schooling age so I'm researching alternatives. We wanted to home school but my future career calls for 50 hours a week on average. I'm open to online school once he reaches high school age, but before that I'd rather not. What other alternatives are there? What did you or people you know try? What worked and what didn't? Basically anything on other schooling methods is helpful. Thank you 😊 Also, he is not born yet, have like 3 weeks left, but I'm trying to figure out an idea of what to do
