When should I stop co-sleeping?

My sons still in my room so he wakes up no matter what when I go to bed.Its easier to calm him down and get him back to sleep in my bed so I just let him stay.When should I stop and make him be in his own bed ?

Honestly i think that should be up to you. everybody do things differently and i feel everybody should do it when they're ready to have their bed back. That's what I'm going to do. when I'm ready to stop I'll stop

My son is two and still cosleeps. It’s more for me than him I think. I’ll be so sad when he doesn’t want to sleep with me any more. (Coming from the least helicopter kid of the planet)

When should you? Whenever you’re ready. When do I plan to? Before I go back to work after she arrives. She’ll be about 3 months or so.

Its up to you. where my husband is from, parents co-sleep till the kids are almost 10. It's a personal preference? Nothing more. But if you have difficult schedules you may want to crib train around the first year or so to avoid waking up a cranky baby in the morning.

My niece is 6 and still sleeps with her parents. She literally never slept in her cot, and then when they got her an actual bed, there was no consistency. They tried to put her to bed one night, she got up and got into theirs. They took her back, but she came back again so they couldn’t be bothered and just let her. They tried again 3 days later, with the same result/them caving in. They just stopped trying altogether after that because she had gotten to the age where she could walk and talk (obviously) and got so upset because she didn’t understand why she as no longer able to sleep with them!
The point I’m trying to make is co-sleep with your child for as long as you want; BUT when you decide to make the change for them to have their own cot/bed/room you need to be consistent with that routine and stick to it. And realistically, the earlier the better

it should be your decision. but here is my experience i let my daughter sleep with me when she was 4 months old and then she never wanted to go back to her crib. she would bot even touch her crib and she would wake up crying then as soon as i put her on my bed she would go strate back to sleep. now she is almost 2 and i cant get her out of my bed i tried everything😭😭😭😭😭😭 and i have another one due in October and idk what im going to do. im a single mom
