sick and breast feeding?

Can I still breastfeed if I'm under the weather?  Will baby girl get sick ?

Your antibodies actually help the baby:). Feed away!
I’ve had strep twice and massive colds.
I nurse with a facemask on so if I cough I don’t get droplets in him.
Best thing for babies is breast milk!

Yep most definitely (unless it’s something specifically your doctor has told you not to nurse with...which wouldn’t be a cold). She’s less likely to get sick because she’s getting your milk. I’ve had a bit of a cold all week and my son (knock on wood) has been fine. I try not try get in his face and if I touch my mouth or nose I wash my hands (I use a nipple shield so when I touch that it put it on his mouth goes right on it so I’m a bit more precautious than I would be). Milk changes to suit babies needs, so some women have seen the color change even when they’re sick to try to protect the baby. Pretty cool!

Always check with Dr but I’ve known people who’ve been down with a he flu and continued bfing with no issue. Hope you feel better!

You breast milk is filled with antibodies that help baby not get sick. I had the stomach flu on Mother’s Day and I EBF and was told it’s the best thing for my LO to fight catching it. She never got it. So yes, you can still boob feed when sick. 
I just stayed in bed away from her and my husband took over. When it was feeding time, he would bring her to me, I’d nurse, and then he would take her back.
