Aria (4lbs 15oz) and Ava (4lbs 3oz) arrived via emergency cesarean at 11.31pm and 11.32pm on the 6th of June, 2018 😍 I was laying in bed listening to music, my waters broke which felt like a balloon had popped inside me, I stand up and run to my fiancé letting him know that it’s go time, our babies are coming!! 😬 I go to the bathroom to let my waters run into the toilet whilst I wait for hubby to be ready, only to see bright red blood running down my leg, we call the hospital and head over, check the girls heartbeats, both great, they find that one of the placentas was separating from the wall of the uterus, so the only option is for an emergency cesarean, so off to theatre we go, surgery went great, girls are currently in Neonatal Unit recovering very well, Arias recovery will take a little longer than her sister because her lungs were underdeveloped, and she swallowed a bit of blood from the placental abruption, she did need help with oxygen but is now breathing on her own 😁 Scariest experience ever! But so very blessed to have my daughters alive and well 😊
