Not pregnancy related but has anyone had a tooth infection?

I start antibiotics today and I have get scheduled for a dentist appt and get it removed it’s one of my wisdom teeth. I am a nervous wreck. Any advice? Or anything at all lol

No advice other than it’ll be fine! If it’s infected, it’s probably going to come out easier than normal, other than the access being difficult. Stock up on soft snack foods- pudding, jello etc

when you get it pulled, dont use a straw at all! for like 6 weeks or more, and dont worry about dry socket.. when i got my tooth pulled, i would fret about dry socket! and dont play with it with your tongue! lol you could pull the blood clot (that is forming) out.. and beware, once the numbness goes away, pain kicks in! so youll want to ask if they can prescribe some pain killers! i would literally cry from the pain! but it wasnt as bad as the pain i had, before i got it pulled!

Oh dear. I have had 2! Unless the tooth very badly broken, you can just opt to have Root Canal Treatment and a crown put on instead as this treats the infection and you get to keep the tooth. 
If you want/need to have it removed like I did, it sounds horrible but it’s honestly not that bad and it’s over so quickly! All you’ll feel is some pressure for a very short amount of time in your front tooth and then it’s gone and you’ll feel a lot better. It’s annoying but its just one of those things that’s got to be done. 
Try not to worry about it! I was really scared but it wasn’t too bad and it was a big tooth! Also Root Canal is totally fine too although it gets a bit uncomfortable sitting still for so long! x
