Concerning?

Today I had several different exams/scans run to check my ovaries and such due to having a constant pain in the area my left ovary should be. Anyway no matter what they tried they couldn’t find my left ovary...does anyone have any info about this sort of thing? I’m freakin out a bit and I can’t get any answers or see my doc until the 19th

This happened to my sister. They couldn’t find it because she had endometriosis so overgrown that they couldn’t find her ovary. I’m sorry thats probably not very helpful but just being honest. I hope everything is okay with you!

My right ovary was always difficult to find on scans and it also happened to be the side I used to get a lot of pain on periodically. Lo and behold, I had an ectopic pregnancy on that side and during surgery they found that that ovary was stuck to other organs with adhesions. Im guessing thats why it was always difficult to see. Im pretty sure my copper IUD got infected shortly after I got it and that was the reason for the adhesions. Copper IUDs are evil!

Apparently ovaries can move around in there, but I haven’t heard of them getting lost. I did recently get a twisted ovary, so mine was enlarged and kind of flopping around in there. I had to get surgery to get it stitched to a ligament to stop it from moving. I hope you can get your issue resolved.
