SSN wrong?

So my son is 3 weeks old and I just received his ss card in the mail this week. The number looked off to me so I did some research and apparently the first 3 numbers are determined by what state you were born in...well my sons isn’t right. I’ll call the office Monday but has this happened to anyone else and what all did you have to do?

on June 25 2011 they changed the system and went to a randomization for all new social security numbers

Me, my husband and my son were all born in Nebraska, but my sons first 3 digits are Missouri numbers and my husbands and mine are Nebraska numbers

I dont think that matters. My first was pretty typical, but my last 2 numbers seemed wacky, but it's all good

Me and my kids don’t have the first same numbers. Hell my older 2 were born in Texas are half sisters (same birth mom) and they don’t have the same first 3 numbers
