Baby Genius

I need some insight. My 2 1/2 year old son seems so smart! At least I think so? This is my first and only child and i wanted to know if anyone else has children like this or if this is completely normal for all children his age.

Since he first turned 2 and even a couple months before that, he has known all of his numbers up to 20 and all of his ABC's. Anytime I point out a letter he know it without hesitation. He is just recently talking about planets and how Mars is his favorite. He loves books and will tell me "he is reading" when he just tells a story with whatever he sees in the picture. He also uses huge words correctly, like saying his 'belly is enormous'. He talks very well and has a lot to say about every situation.

Do all children do this? I'm not trying to seem like I think I have the smartest child. I am just confused at how fast he is learning and wondering if my next will be this way as well.
